If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use this website or make a purchase. Each purchase constitutes a separate acceptance of these Terms as they stand at the time of that purchase.

Shanghanlun.org.il is operated by Hila Yaffe, based in Israel. We provide online educational courses on the Shang Han Lun and classical Chinese medicine for qualified practitioners and advanced students of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). For any inquiries, contact us at info@shanghanlun.co.il.

1.3 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase from this website. Our courses are designed for qualified practitioners or advanced students of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, or traditional Chinese medicine. By completing a purchase, you confirm you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to refuse access if eligibility requirements are not met.

1.4 Nature of Products

All products sold on this website are pre-recorded digital educational courses delivered via online streaming access. Courses are provided for professional continuing education and personal clinical development only. They do not confer formal academic qualifications, licensing, or accreditation unless explicitly and specifically stated for an individual course.

Course content represents the instructor’s clinical and scholarly perspective and does not substitute for independent clinical judgment, professional supervision, or regulatory compliance in your jurisdiction. You remain solely and fully responsible for all clinical decisions and patient care.

1.5 Course Access and Delivery

Access to purchased course content is granted electronically upon confirmation of payment. Your access period is 12 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated at the point of sale. We reserve the right to update, improve, or supplement course content during your access period; such updates are included at no additional charge.

We take reasonable steps to ensure continuous availability of course content but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned or emergency maintenance will be communicated where reasonably practicable.

1.6 Intellectual Property and Permitted Use

All course materials — including but not limited to video recordings, audio, transcripts, slides, PDFs, written content, branding, and website content — are the exclusive intellectual property of shanghanlun.org.il and are protected by Israeli copyright law and applicable international copyright treaties.

Upon purchase, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the course content solely for your own professional development. This license does not transfer any ownership rights to you.

You expressly may not:

• Copy, reproduce, download, or store course materials in any format
• Share, distribute, or sub-license course content to any third party
• Share login credentials or allow any other person to access your account
• Record, screenshot, screen-share, or otherwise capture course video or audio
• Resell, commercialize, or use course content as the basis for any competing product or service
• Use course content to train, fine-tune, or develop any artificial intelligence or machine learning system

Breach of these terms will result in immediate termination of access without refund. We reserve the right to pursue all available civil and criminal remedies for intellectual property infringement.

1.7 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use this website or its content in any way that is unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive. This includes, but is not limited to, attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website, introducing malicious code, or misrepresenting your identity or credentials.

1.8 Payments and Pricing

All prices displayed on this website are the final price you pay, inclusive of any applicable taxes. Payment is processed securely by a third-party payment provider. By completing a purchase, you authorize the charge to your designated payment method. We do not store full payment card data.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. The price displayed at the time of your purchase is the price you will be charged; price changes do not affect existing completed transactions.

1.9 Accounts and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized account use where you have failed to take reasonable precautions.

1.10 Suspension and Termination

Terminations for breach are not eligible for refund. We will notify you of termination where practicable unless doing so would compromise a legal or security investigation.

1.11 Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, courses and content are provided on an ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that course content is complete, error-free, or current, or that access will be uninterrupted. We do not guarantee any specific clinical, professional, or career outcome from completing our courses.

1.12 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, shanghanlun.org.il’s total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant course. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law in your jurisdiction.

1.13 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Israel, except that nothing in this clause affects any mandatory consumer protection rights you hold under the laws of your country of habitual residence.

In particular: EU/EEA consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in their country of residence; UK consumers retain rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015; Australian consumers retain rights under the Australian Consumer Law; and Canadian consumers retain applicable federal and provincial rights.

1.14 Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. These Terms, together with the Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and shanghanlun.org.il regarding your use of this website and purchase of courses.

1.15 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time to reflect changes in law, business practice, or course offerings. The current version will always be dated and available on our website. We will notify registered users of material changes by email where practicable. Continued use of the website after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Because our products are pre-recorded digital courses to which access is granted immediately upon payment, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges once a purchase has been completed and access has been granted, subject to the exceptions and mandatory rights set out below.

2.1 Exceptions — Refunds We Will Consider

We will consider a refund request only in the following circumstances:

• Duplicate payment made in error for the same course within the same transaction session
• A verified technical fault that prevents access to the course content and cannot be resolved within 7 business days of your written report to us
• A confirmed unauthorized or fraudulent transaction, subject to your cooperation with any investigation

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@shanghanlun.co.il within 14 days of the original purchase date, with your order reference and a description of the issue. We will respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 10 business days.

We do not offer refunds based on: dissatisfaction with course content or teaching style after access has begun; change of personal or professional circumstances; partial completion of a course; or technical issues that are attributable to your own device or internet connection.

2.2 EU and EEA Customers — Right of Withdrawal

EU/EEA statutory right: Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers in the EU and EEA have a 14-day right of withdrawal from digital content purchases. However, this right is lost once you have expressly consented to immediate delivery and acknowledged the loss of your withdrawal right. At checkout, you will be asked to tick the following: “I consent to immediate access to digital course content upon payment confirmation, and I acknowledge that by requesting immediate access I forfeit my 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law.” This checkbox is mandatory and must be actively ticked; it cannot be pre-ticked. We retain a record of this consent. If you do not wish to consent, do not complete the purchase — your access will not begin until the 14-day period expires (if you choose to wait and contact us separately).

2.3 UK Customers

UK consumers have equivalent rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The same consent mechanism applies as for EU customers: by ticking the consent checkbox at checkout, you agree to immediate access and waive your 14-day cancellation right. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (including remedies for digital content that is not as described or not of satisfactory quality) are not affected by this policy.

2.4 Australian Customers

Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a remedy if a product has a major failure or does not match its description. Our refund exceptions above are consistent with these statutory guarantees. 2.5 Canadian Customers

Customers in Canada are protected by applicable federal and provincial consumer protection legislation. Our policy is designed to be consistent with these obligations.
